Horticulture Apprenticeship
Earn while you learn!
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Horticulture Apprentice. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in horticulture while working on a variety of projects in the beautiful landscapes of the Northern Beaches, Upper North Shore and North Sydney.
The apprenticeship program lasts for 3-4 years. TAFE studies are an integral part of this apprenticeship, involving 1 day of classes per week for the first 2-2.5 years.
Those currently completing their course in any year of their trade & looking to change companies are also welcome to apply, as are mature age candidates.

Requirements:
- Undertake study: Certificate III in Horticulture or Certificate III in Parks and Gardens at Ryde TAFE
- You must be fit, healthy, responsible, reliable & enjoy being outdoors with a willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- While no formal experience is necessary, a positive can do attitude, along with the ability to work in a team & follow direction.
- Successful candidates will need their provisional drivers licence or be close to achieving this. If they do not have their licence yet they would need to be able to get themselves to a meeting point to commence work each day, to TAFE one day per week & be committed to gaining their licence as soon as possible.
- Hours of operation 7am-3:30pm Monday to Friday – enjoy your weekends!

Experienced Landscape Gardener
Are you an experienced Landscape Gardener looking for an exciting opportunity? We’re actively searching for a skilled and passionate individual to join our friendly team at one of Sydney’s top Garden Maintenance and Landscaping Companies.
This is a full-time position with the opportunity for long term employment and career/salary progression for the right candidate.

What we’re looking for:
Experience: 3-5 years as a qualified landscaper.
Leadership: Team leader and management experience
Certification: Recognised trade qualification in Landscape Construction/Horticulture or a similar qualification or proven hands on experience.
Essentials: A valid driver’s license, a genuine passion for gardening and a positive attitude.
Bonus: Proven experience in civil, commercial, or residential landscaping sectors.
A typical day:
– Be hands-on with all sorts of tasks from start to finish.
– Get everything ready for each project: materials, tools, and equipment.
– Planting, trimming, and general maintenance work.
– Keep plants healthy by fertilising, mulching, and identifying/preventing diseases.
– Safely use machines for gardening work.
– Mow lawns with push mowers and use whipper snippers.
– Remove weeds and clear debris.
– Know how to deal with pests and weeds.
– Follow safety rules and understand workplace health procedures.
– Lay pavers, build small walls, and do other landscaping work.
